Our objective is to supply a quality product, with your name/logo
on it, that reflects your corporate image/reputation - something
you would be proud to pass on to your customers. In order
to do this, we have to be quite specific on the artwork formats
we'll accept.
If you're old hat at this sort of thing then please read
the Technical
Specification Sheet. If you'd like to understand why we
ask for what we do, then please carry on reading.
 Very
often the logo you give us will either have to be up or down-sized
to suit the product you are purchasing. This being the case,
it must be in a format that will not lose clarity once the
size has changed. From experience, the most successful results
come from "adobe illustrator" (.ai) files or "encapsulated
post script" (.eps) files - both of which must be vector
based. If your files were originally .tiff files or similar
and you have simply re-named them as .eps or .ai, we cannot
accept them. This is because .tiff files are pixel-based and
will distort when re-sized; your image must have started as
a vector based image.
It may be that you hold other vector-based images, however,
ai and eps files are also cross-platform which means that
they can be used on both a PC and a Mac. As we use printers
and engravers that may work purely on one or the other, we
must have the flexibility to offer files covering both platforms.
Your artwork files can then be emailed to us on artwork@cmsinternational.com
but you must ensure that any fonts are converted to curves.
Please also advise us of the exact pantone references for
your corporate colours.
 If
your chosen product is going to be screen printed, it is often
much better to keep your artwork to solid colours (ie not
shades of colours). This is because your logo will be converted
into dots; shades of colour tend to accentuate these dots
making your logo appear grainy resulting in an apparent loss
of clarity. Sometimes we are able to print shades of colour
but please contact us as it does depend on the surface of
the product you have chosen.
As each of our products are different, the printable area
on each differs as does the print position. We would be happy
to provide this information to you when placing your order.
We offer a range of different personalisation options. Some
products may allow for more than one option, where as others
may only be suitable for one specific method. We will advise
you of the best method for your chosen product when we provide
you with a quotation.
